Perth really does have some of the best beaches in the world and with kilometres and kilometres of white sand and turquoise water, it’s not hard to see why.  Mosaic Balcatta is located within the City of Stirling, which means you’re only a stone’s throw from 7.5km of immaculate coastline. With so many great patches of sand to choose from, we’ve made a hit list of the best local beaches you need to check out this summer.

Scarborough Beach
Scarborough Beach is one of Perth’s most popular beaches, and we know why. Only 13-minutes from home this ocean front hub has it all – an oceanfront swimming pool, skate park, playground and great bars and cafes. If you love surfing, swimming, sunbathing and oceanside dining, then we know where you’ll be spending most of January …

Trigg Beach
If you love surfing, we highly recommend putting Trigg high up on your to do list. During Summer you’ll find the soft white sand and blue waters populated by swimmers while surfers and boogie boarders swarm the reef break offshore. Trigg also has a great grassed area, complete with BBQs and a playground, making it the perfect place for a post swim sunset picnic. Beachside bliss.

Mettam’s Pool
Just 13-minutes from home you’ll find this pool like a natural lagoon, popular with young families as it’s sheltered from the wind and has relatively shallow waters. It’s 1.5 metre deep reef makes this beach a snorkeler’s paradise due to the vast number of marine creatures that live here. If you’re lucky you’ll see colourful schools of fish and beautiful coral as you explore their underwater world. We recommend heading down early to avoid the crowds.
