Moving to a new neighbourhood is an exciting time, filled with endless possibilities of exploring all there is to offer in your new area. Understanding the intricacies of your new home such as allocated bin days, watering days and pet requirements can take some time but is undoubtedly an important task! With this in mind, we are here to help make your move to Mosaic a little more seamless with our following tips on all you need to know about the area.

Registering pets
If you’re like us and love your furry friends, you’ll know how important it is to keep them safe. Registering pets provide valuable information that help the city plan for the provision of animal facilities like exercise areas and the resolving of pet-related issues. Mosaic Balcatta is based in the City of Stirling so to make sure your furry friend is covered at your new home, head to the link bellow for their pet registration form.

Waste management
The City of Stirling operates a three bin waste system to help them safely and sustainably dispose of all household waste materials. Red lid bins are dedicated to general waste, for all your recyclables materials there is the yellow lidded bin and finally a lime green lid for garden organics. The red bins are collected every Tuesday with the recycling and green waste bins collected fortnightly on alternating Tuesdays starting with the yellow lid recycling bin on the fifth of January 2021.

Watering days
Everyone loves their gardens to flourish, but overwatering can be detrimental for the long-term health of our planet. As part of their dedication to sustainability, the Water Corporation have allocated two days a week on which you can run your retic systems based on the last digit in the number of your house on the street. Depending on the day, you can use your sprinklers for the garden either before 9am or after 6pm to make sure the hot midday sun doesn’t soak it all up before your garden can.
